REBECCA JENSEN
Rebecca Jensen will be working with the community to develop an archive of their voices or “Community notices”. This project aims to notice the ‘every day’, by drawing out both the small and big distinctions that emerge between people who occupy the same space at the same time.
Over the weekends during the residency, Jensen invites participants to contribute a haiku to the project. Utilising individual Chinese-style letterpresses with 3D printed and hand-cast type, these contributions will be composed into an individual handheld letterpress and made into business card-sized prints.
As the residency unfolds, rows of these small prints will be incorporated into an installation in the MJAC Hallway, forming a growing collective archive of everyday observations.
