SILVANA FERRARIO
Drawing inspiration from her environment and personal memories, Silvana Ferrario uses the medium of glass to explore how physical environments shape our experiences and identities, reflecting on the connection between space and personal perception.
The themes presented in the exhibition include Experiences with the Ocean, inspired by the power of the sea and the natural beauty of the WA coastline, Memories of Italy, referencing her Italian heritage and the striking colours that remain with her, and My Surroundings, centered around the inherent beauty and peace within the environmental surrounds of her home in the Perth Hills.
Ferrario explains, “The tranquillity of the hills provides such a rich environment to nourish my soul and my art…There’s something deeply inspiring about living surrounded by such natural beauty – it’s almost like the landscape becomes a partner in the creative process.”
