The celebration of Western Australia’s wildflowers puts a spotlight on the State’s botanical riches and the threat humans now pose to them. Hear from botanists, curators and artists bringing you an array of botanical and environment themed exhibitions and events in 2019.

DAY 1 - Friday 19 July, Art Gallery of Western Australia, theatrette

Hear from Jude van der Merwe, curator, Wildflower State, Kado Muir, Ethnobotanist and consultant, Stephen Hopper AC, Professor of Biodiversity, UWA Albany (CENRM) and School of Biological Sciences, Phil Groom, Botanical Author, Laetitia Wilson, Exhibitions Manager Holmes à Court Gallery and Susie Vickery, Botanist artist and curator of‘Peregrinations of a Citizen’ 

DAY 2 - Saturday 20 July, Lawrence Wilson Art Gallery, University of Western Australia, Woolnough Lecture Theatre

Hear from Professor Ted Snell AM CitWA, Chief Cultural Office, UWA, Ann Elias, Associate Professor, Department of Art History, University of Sydney, Kingsley Dixon, John Curtin Distinguished Professor, School of Molecular and Life Sciences, Curtin University, Dr Erica Seccombe, visual artist, Ann Elias, Ellen Hickman, Philippa Nikulinsky, and Gemma Weston and Victoria Laurie, writer and senior reporter with The Australian. Plus a sundowner & tour of Nikulinsky Naturally.
