Martin Baxter, a potter from the southwest of Western Australia, centres his practice on handmaking functional stoneware ceramics, experimenting with form, glazes, and firing techniques. Martin is inspired by the history of ceramics as a craft, the distinctive forms of various lineages and makers, and the way knowledge is shared between people and places.

Leela Dilkes-Hoffman, one of the sisters behind Dilkes-Hoffman Designs, expresses her creativity through silver and aluminium jewellery. Particularly specialising in anodised aluminium, a technique in which colour is embedded into the metal, Leela creates bold, colourful statement earrings that are inspired by the rich beauty of Western Australia.

Elisha McGuckin is a South-West Australian artist whose vibrant pieces combine pop art design with traditional, intuitive painting styles. As a child of the 80s, Elisha is obsessed with all things ‘pop culture,’ driven to creating brightly coloured still life paintings of iconic subjects.   

Reducing waste with hand-tufted artistry  

Sisa Studio, run by Perth-based artist and designer Vinisha Mulani, creates unique and vibrant artworks using excess or “deadstock” premium New Zealand wool yarn. With “Sisa” translating to “remainder” or “remnant” in Indonesian, Vinisha adopts a mindset of positively repurposing when creating her work.
