Using the techniques of drypoint and chine-collé, explore diverse ways of representing landscape. Experimenting with linear drawings, gestural marks, colour, layers and collage methods create multilayered unique prints using an etching press.

Tracing Gondwana Opening Launch and Film Screening

A Convergence of Visual Art, Poetry, Voice and Film

The launch of Tracing Gondwana, in partnership with Gondwana Link, celebrates the ancient landscapes of the Great Southern – one of the richest Biodiversity Hotspots on the planet. A collaboration between printmakers Nikki Green, Monika Lukowska and writer Reneé Pettitt-Schipp, has resulted in a body of work responding to the current climate emergency. A series of events will complement the opening and build awareness of the area’s ecological and cultural vulnerability.

4.30pm Film Screening – Gondwana Link’s Breathing Life into Boodja
5.40pm Panel Discussion with artists and special guests Basil Schur (Green Skills), Keith Bradby (Gondwana Link), Rocky Eades (Goreng Menang Noongar Cultural Consultant) and Auntie Carol Pettersen (Noongar-Menang Elder)
6.30pm Official Exhibition Opening
