Writing 'Un-workshop' with Bec Bowman

  • Midland Junction Arts Centre (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

Drop in and meet writer in residence Bec Bowman and explore your latest creative writing project.

These sessions are for those people who have something to write but need a little bit of external accountability to get it finished. These are no creative writing exercises and no reading your work aloud to a room of strangers. You don't even have to introduce yourself if you don't want to - just sign in, give an awkward little wave and get to work.

  • Like to work in silence? Great, bring your sound-blocking headphones. We won't think you're rude.

  • Want to talk your ideas out with someone? Bec will happily listen over a cuppa in the courtyard.

  • Don't want to sit at an uncomfortable desk? That's ok, there are plenty of cushions and blankets on the floor and no one will look at your weirdly.

  • Find visual timers useful to keep you on task? Bec has got you covered.

  • Want someone to check-in and make sure you do what you say you're going to do? Bec will note your word count goals and hold you to them!

Wed 8, 15, 22 & 29 Jun 2022 | 1pm - 4pm | Suitable for 16+ yrs
FREE (donations gratefully received) | BYO writing pad and pen
