Wheel Throwing with Lee Woodcock

Local ceramicist Lee Woodcock will lead you through this 6 week course designed for beginners and intermediate potters to develop the skills required to confidently use a pottery wheel and create functional vessels. Over the course of the three hour sessions you will learn throwing techniques, applying handles, glazing and adorning your small vessels. 

Clay, tools and firing costs are all included. Only seven spots available in this intimate series, be sure to secure your place. One left-handed wheel available. Please wear enclosed shoes and bring an apron.

Clay Pod Forms with Narayani Palmer

PART OF THE WHAT ON EARTH PROJECT

Narayani Palmer will teach basic hand-building techniques to adults to create ceramic seed pods. inspired by the boundless diversity of nature.

Workshops will employ a range of hand building techniques and white and terracotta clay high fired in an electric kiln. The finished products will be a creamy white and a warm orange/brown.

Participants are invited to return their works by Friday 30 August to exhibit in the community exhibition Seeds, Pods and Pollen at Mundaring Arts Centre from 13 Sep - 27 Oct.

Create a Teacup or Tumbler with Lee Woodcock

Learn the art of hand building with local potter, Lee Woodcock. Lee will guide you through pinch pot processes to create your own tumbler or teacup. This family friendly workshop is open to all ages.

Clay, tools and firing costs are all included. Collect your fired teacup in a couple of weeks after it has been glazed and fired.
