Freehand Perspective I with Ben Joel

  • Midland Junction Arts Centre 276 Great Eastern Highway Midland Australia (map)

Join Ben Joel for a four hour introduction to freehand perspective drawing.

Knowledge of perspective is absolutely fundamental for any artist who wants to better understand why the world we see looks the way it does. Basic perspective is a powerful and transferable aid opening up more scope for visual expression. It will help develop your confidence in drawing naturalistic, convincing freehand forms and spaces in perspective, either from observed phenomena or from imagination. The workshop will cover single point, two point, multi-point and curved perspective.

Ben Joel is primarily a painter who has a wide range of interests and expertise in traditional and contemporary processes. He has a PhD from Curtin University, where from 1989 to 2008 he was the Head of Painting. See more of Ben’s work here.
