Non-toxic etching & chine-collé with Monika Lukowska

  • Midland Junction Arts Centre 276 Great Eastern Highway Midland, WA, 6056 Australia (map)

Learn the traditional art of etching (using non-toxic materials) and create your own limited set of prints with Monika Lukowska. We will be using A5 aluminium plates to create detailed, linear artworks and experiment with more gestural marks that can be achieved in etching. You will also learn how to add colour using the method of chine-collé and about signing and editioning your prints.

Monika is a printmaking artist and academic from Poland currently based in Perth, Western Australia. She works as a sessional academic and research assistant at Curtin University, is a Print Council of Australia Representative for Western Australia and a co-founder of Print Lab Australia.
